Even in a world where food and shelter is plentiful, there are times when some of us need help meeting our basic needs. When times are difficult, The Congregation of Our Layeshorim is ready to step in and help, providing food for the hungry and housing for homeless, at-risk boys.
FEEDING THE HUNGRY
We periodically take to the streets to set up an outdoor food distribution center. Friends and neighbors line the street to receive a specially prepared box of food to take home for their pantries. HOUSING HOMELESS YOUTH
Young men sometimes find themselves in highly dysfunctional – and sometime life-threatening – situations at home. With no where to turn, they end up living on the street, where they may become lured into the world of alcohol, drugs, and worse. We help get these at-risk kids off the streets and into a safe place to live at Yeshiva Gedola Amidei Dgirsa.
